Judith & Claire Darlington

Clare and Judith Darlington have been married for over sixty years, with 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Their shared journey reflects their deep commitment to faith, family, and community.

Clare’s Journey:

Clare earned a BA in Business Administration (1957-1961) and an MBA in Finance (1964) from Michigan State University. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force (1962-1967) and had a successful management career in the auto industry. Clare was an elder at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church (1988-2020) and is a car restoration enthusiast.

Judith’s Journey:

Judith earned a BA in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and an MSW from the University of Michigan. She taught elementary school (1963-1974) and worked as a clinical social worker. Judith served as the Executive Director of Southeastern Michigan Christian Conciliation Service and was a Parenting Teacher/Consultant at Midcourse Correction Facility.

Together:

Clare and Judith’s shared faith and dedication led to the founding of Under His Thumb Ministries. Both graduated from Charis Bible College, and their move to Deckerville in 2021 with sister Joann Roy, marked the continuation of their impactful journey together for ministry.
